Writing is a hobby of mine. Telling stories feels like an accomplishment and it’s an honor to be featured in publications. I’ve always said that I write when elicited, so that’s only when I’m called upon to do so, even still, I’ve become recognized for some of my prose.
Now I’m not a career writer but I lived around the Portuguese diaspora that had a profound effect on me, and as such, I have a passion for tracing this Portuguese thing of ours and how it shaped the community we recognize today.
It’s been more than five years that I’ve been contributing to newspapers, magazines and literary journals, amassing some notoriety and credibility among readers. With this collection of articles, I would like to announce the release of my third book, an anthology of Luso heritage stories, THOUGHTS FROM A VARANDA (BALCONY).
Self publishing has been a derivative of my writing efforts and a means for subsidizing this hobby.
