It was a few years ago that I had my first article published in Senso Magazine. Inspired by my ancestry research, I wrote an homage to my grandfather’s legacy and that only expanded from there. Merely a year later I self-published a book about his life and had another handful of articles featured in newspapers and magazines. That’s when I set out on a personal goal to have more articles published in various publications.
Since then, I’ve had many more featured articles and continue to chase that goal I had set out for myself. With a new year, comes more opportunities to share my writing. Cheers to 2024!

Devin Meireles – As a creative nonfiction writer, I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, where growing up around the Portuguese diaspora had a profound effect on me. Now I write about this Portuguese thing of ours and try to give back to the community.
I have since written articles that have been featured in literary journals, health magazines, and cultural newspapers as well as two self-published books highlighting Portuguese heritage, culture and travel.
