Much of my writing in the last year was inspired from travel, so I’m proud to announce that I have published another book with prose and photography from my trips to Madeira. That island is really special and I wouldn’t have discovered it, if not for my wife Ashley. I’m lucky to have her by my side. She carries me to new heights and is my biggest fan.
I’m also fortunate to know such a wonderful island. Being a child of islanders myself, I know what that’s like to have ancestry in the Atlantic however finding a kinship with a another island is something different altogether. Madeira is really for everyone. I suppose that’s probably how our immigrant parents felt when they landed in Canada. It’s finding that home where you belong. Whatever that sentiment, this book spurred exactly from that. Hence, Finding Madeira.
This book is a love letter to Portugal, the beautiful island of Madeira, and most importantly, the love of my life.
