It’s really disheartening to see the reception garnered towards a new board that has yet to perform anything since being announced. How the fickle are so quick to judge and put down members of their own community rather than support and be proud of a group that represents the future of this wonderful diaspora.
I heard for the longest time of how a criticism is that the youth do not step up but when they finally do with the best intentions in the same manner elected as in the past, they get put down and discredited. Some of the most prominent names are the most outspoken ones and that truly is appalling to me. Makes me question if their intentions have been for the community or for their own personal interests this whole time… anyways I am proud to have an opportunity to make change and contribute to the future. If you’re not coming with solutions and support than you are part of the problem. ✌️🇵🇹
Nonetheless, this year will be a display of what we can do and I hope that some of these individuals will come around and change their tune.
